There is a discussion underway surrounding the transfer of faith, in Western society, from a mythological and spiritual base to one of science, reason and mechanization.  We believe in our communication technologies; that they will bring us closer together, give us more information.  We have faith in our agrarian developments; hoping that we can feed more people and overcome disaster.  We marvel at our industrial accomplishments; moving mountains, rivers and forests.  Ultimately, we believe that no matter the problem we are faced with our technology and collective will power can stave off disaster.

Man Changing into Thunderbird (Gut Brain) traces the changes in my world view over the past 2 years.  From ration and possession driven frameworks to intuitive-based decision making, this work is taking into consideration themes of spirituality and mental de-shackling through more ‘gut based’ methods of thought and interaction with the world.
